Kids Life

Here at the POLR, we love our kids! Children are kind of a big deal to Jesus, and so we think they are, too!  We strive to provide a fun and safe family-friendly environment for our children to grow where they love to come every week.

Weekly kids classes are provided by age level and are staffed with qualified and fun-loving teachers.

We offer several areas for our children to be a part of the Kingdom of God.

Feel free to contact us for more information about how you and your kids can get involved!

  • SPARK SERVICES

This is a monthly service for the kids that is on the first Wednesday of every month. The kids get together and have a fun time and learn about God.

  • KIDS CAMP

Kids Camp is a great way to involve children who have grown up in church or have just started attending. It is one week in the month of June where children from all over Louisiana join together at a campgrounds in Tioga, LA for activities and services that bring them closer to God.

  • EKWIP CAMP

(Equipping Kids With Individual Purpose) EKWIP Camp is a summer day camp held at the POLR every year during the third week of July from Monday through Thursday.

Each day begins at 8:30 am and ends at 3:30 pm. The day includes devotion, craft classes, playtime, creative art classes, some special guest speakers, and good food. Each camper also receives a camp t-shirt to wear during Friday night's performance.

Lunches are healthy, but targeted for children's taste buds. From Chicken nuggets to pizza, all campers love the food. Every day ends with a snack and a delicious snowball.

Thursday, the last day of camp is always a favorite. Water day! After lunch and a final rehearsal, all campers are free to enjoy the rest of the day in the water slides.

The Friday night "Kids Krusade" is the finale of the EKWIP Camp. The campers perform for family and friends the creative arts they have learned during the week.

As you can tell, children are very important to us. The Bible instructs us to:

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Proverbs 22:6.

With all the pressure on our children, it is imperative that we do what we can to mold their future and place in them a passion for Christ.
